Prologues and Epilogues

What do you think of prologues? Epilogues?
Done well, love them. Done poorly, not so much.

Here's my opinion in more detail.

    I really don't like them and often skip over them. I want to get right to the story.

    I prefer an epilogue, but often skip over a prologue (or read it after I have read the whole book).
