Happy (Belated) Anniversary to Me!

As I realized while writing yesterday's post, I just missed my third anniversary as LDS Publisher. I started writing this blog on April 7, 2006. (Yes, there are a couple of older posts, but they were backdated for indexing purposes.)

So as my Happy Anniversary present to you, I'm going to do the "100 Things About Me" meme.

Ha-ha. No, I'm not. (I should have started this blog on April 1st.)

But what I will do is answer questions about myself on Fridays, interspersed with various Stupid Questions, jokes and rants—because as everyone knows, all publishers take a three-day weekend and we never, ever do serious work on Fridays. (That was sarcasm, just in case you didn't get it.)

So, first—and most frequent—question: Who are you?

. . .

Did you even for half a trillimeter of a second believe that I was going to answer that one?

Try again. Post your questions in the comments or email them to me.

Whoo hoo! Congrats!

So here is a question. Why did you go into publishing?

Congratulations! Three years is practically time and all eternity in Internet years.

I'm curious about something you said a couple of posts ago: what ELSE will land an author on the never-publish-this-person list?

Do you ever feel like jumping the LDS ship and moving to New York where you could be rich and famous?

What is the worst advice you've seen someone (like from another blog or a writer's book) give a writer?

Anon:

She already did the New York gig thing and made her fortune. Now she's semi-retared. Even I figured that out reading bewteen her professional by-lines.

Isn't that right LDSP?

Congratulations! This is a great blog.

I'm interested in your Whitney picks. And I'm also interested to know if you edited any of the Whitney finalists. But I suspect those questions are in the same category as "who are you?"...

I'm sure you won't give us any identifying details, so I won't ask you about your age, height, hair color or that type of thing. But here are a few questions I've been dying to ask you:

Do you ever get pedicures? And if you do, what is your favorite color of toenail polish?

If you were going to accept a bribe (even though we know you wouldn't) what type of chocolate would you prefer?

What brand of toothpaste do you use? Shampoo? Deodorant?

Do you have any embarrassing habits that you'd like to confess? We all love you here. It's safe. We'd never tell. Promise.

If you could live any other place but Utah, where would it be and why?

Oh, drat. The kid's awake and wants breakfast. Back later with more questions.

Congratulations "P". I am getting close to my 13th Anniversary myself.

My question is this...

You say you missed your anniversary? Where is your husband with his boquet or suprise dinner location, or waking you up with breakfast in bed that , yes, he made himself?

You say you've gone into semi-retirement. What exactly does that mean? What is you basic day like now?

What are your top 10 favorite LDS fiction titles of all time?

Your top 10 national favorites?

Or if you have too many favs, you could break it down by genre.
