Big Hugs

Although thanks to you, I no longer think ornery thoughts when someone doesn't include a SASE with their submission (unless they want the whole mss back and expect me to foot the bill), I have to admit when I do get a SASE, it makes me smile.

Lately, I've been getting a lot of SASEs with self-stick flaps. A big hug to all of you who are sending those. I just love them. It makes me feel pampered, cherished, spoiled rotten. :)

P.S. I'm all out of questions. Send more.

P.P.S. Is it time for another contest? What would you like to do?

Contests? I love contests! In trying to help you along, I looked up some obscure holidays for April. The 19th is National Garlic Day, for instance, and the 22nd is Jelly Bean Day, whereas the 23rd celebrate zucchini bread. We could write a 500 word story including one or even all of those culinary treats. May 4th is often referred to as Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you), so you could have a little science fiction contest. Or you could find a great first line and have us continue the story from there. One First Line that I remember from a website is "Step right this way for your tour of Earth." Jeffrey Savage also came up with the classic: "Ma'am, would you please remove your child from the meat grinder?" Another thought is to take a line from a movie and have us work it into a story. Having recently watched Galaxy Quest, I could suggest "Never give up! Never surrender!" Or "They don't plot, they don't scheme, and they're not organized!" from Chicken Run.
