A Milestone

Yesterday, LDSPublisher hit a milestone. We topped 100 unique visitors in one day. We've gotten close to that a few times--97 was the highest. But yesterday this site had 119 unique visitors, 77 of whom were returning visitors.

I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the support you've all given to me and this endeavor (even Jeff Savage and David Woolley who keep trying to weasel my true identity out of me). I appreciate your comments and the way you've jumped in to help each other, answering questions, and pointing out to me when I'm way off base.

When I started this blog back in April 2006, it was on a whim. I thought I'd do it for a few months and readers would get bored and that would be the end of it. It has surprised me that questions keep coming and participation has continued to increase. I have taken that as a sign that my intent to be helpful has become a reality. I hope I can continue to help you on your journey to publication. As long as you continue to send questions, comments and queries for critique (yes, I'm still willing to do that), I will continue to respond.

Thanks again for visiting.

I just recently found this blog, and have been reading all the articles through the last few weeks.

This is definitely such a help. I am learning a lot of stuff, and it's nice to be able to get feedback too if needed. Thanks for doing this blog.

I'm glad I could be one of the 100. It's great that you're becoming so popular.

Keep up the great work, and I promise I'll send you my query for critique, as soon as I'm ready to write another one (my past several have all bombed bad).

Thanks for being here.

Its only a matter of time before you slip up. I've analysed your word print and compared it to a secretly compiled data bank of writings from every LDS editor at every publishing house along the Wasatch Front. We have some very interesting results. We've narrowed it down to three possibilites, but since one is a male devliery boy at Deseret Book and the other is Sheri Dew, we're fairly certain, within a statiscally insignificant margin of error that we know who you are, where you live and what you put on your cereal, when you do have time for such menial tasks like breakfast. From our analysis we have also determined, based on your overuse of adverbs, your short sentence construction and your sasporilic choice of words the following:

You like Green shag carpet, but you were neither a 60's flower child nor a 70's bell bottomer

You eat roast beef on Sundays, except when church callings make cooking a roast too much of a bother. Then its more cereal.

You drive a car and dislike gas guzzling SUV's for the same reason that you think Global warming is outdated.

You have ten fingers--all of which are painted regularly.

You work too hard (doesn't everyone?)

And, most telling of all, you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Mitt Romney was Governor of Boston.

You are very appreciated, LDSP -- I've learned a lot from reading your blog. In fact, this blog is one that I have to check every morning before I can proceed with my day. You're more than a helpful blog -- you're a routine I can't function without!

Oh great, David, give away all of our hard won information. Do you have any idea how much that was worth on the open market?

Thanks for all of your hard work, LDSPub, you have provided a wonderful service, and your karma basket must be overflowing. Congratulations on the milestone. I suspect 200 isn't far.

I'm fairly new to blogland but this is one of the sites that I frequent and I appreciate all that you do for all of us poor wannabe authors. Thanks!

See what fishing for compliments can get you?

And no, I don't care for green shag carpet. I prefer burnt orange.

LDS Publisher- How has this Christmas compared to other Christmases in terms of publishing volume (e.g. books you are having published) and other things?
